Romance of the Three Kingdoms is a classical historical fiction in China. Not only is it the father of voluminous chapter fictions, but also it is the greatest and most influential masterpiece in ancient China. Taking the contradiction and battles among the three political-military blocs, Wei, Shu and Wu as the plotline, the book portrayed the turbulent and fateful moment, lasting nearly 100 years from the end of Eastern Han Dynasty to the beginning of Western Jin Dynasty and depicted the sharp, complicated and characteristic political and military conflicts in those years. The military and governing strategies revealed in those stories are having a deep and unpredictable impact on nowadays political struggles, military strategies and even business games.
In view of the incomparable literary value and historical and cultural connotation of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, as well as to contribute to the inheritance of Chinese traditional culture, Hangzhou Goal-Ascend Culture Co., Ltd took Qing Dynasty Edition Reliable Text with Painting in Liquid Gold and Silver----Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the only-existing royal collection as the master copy, and took Chinese traditional silk as a medium to produce the hand-written silk stamp album Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The album includes the interesting parts and pictures selected from the copy, and the content was combined with the Romance of the Three Kingdoms stamps issued so far in China.
The Hanlin words of the album are extracted from the royal hand-written copy in Qing Dynasty, in Guange style, square and upright and integrated Wang, Yan, Liu and Ou Regular Script Styles, which makes the album really rare. The 8 Chinese Color Gongbi Figure Paintings selected from the copy, outlined in gold and silver, accord with the brushwork of royal painters Yu Zhiding and Fei Danxu, which are rare in ancient works and of great value. What should be mentioned is that the album collected the five groups of twenty stamps of Romance of the Three Kingdoms and three stamp sheetlets issued from 25th November, 1988 to 26th August, 1998. Furthermore, the seals in the album were works of the celebrities in Xiling Seal Engravers' Society that are quite precious. Whats more, the company adopted the original-created, high-precision and multi-level color printing technique in the manufacturing process. With exquisite and lively images, the effect is similar to that of art printing.
The hand-written silk stamp album of Romance of the Three Kingdoms is packaged in a box made of precious tegument covered with graceful brocade, which is uniquely structured and exquisitely shaped, making the whole simple but elegant.
